Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs
* Ingredients:
°8 ounces ground beef
°8 ounces ground beef
°1 scrambled eggs
°1/4 cup panko
°1/4 c freshly grated parmesan cheese
°1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
°1 /4 teaspoon onion powder
°1/4 teaspoon ground spices
°a pinch of nutmeg
°Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
°1 teaspoon olive oil
*Methods:
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Oil in Heat gently or spray in a 9 x 9 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine beef and pork, eggs, panko, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice and
nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Stir the mixture well with a wooden spoon or soft hands. Roll the
combination into meatballs 1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter, making about 18-20 meatballs.Heat the olive oil in a
large pot or saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs in batches and fry until golden brown on all
sides, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate; Sit aside.
In a pot of boiling salted water, prepare the pasta according to the package instructions; Drain well and mix with
the marinara sauce.
Place pasta in prepared baking dish and add meatballs; Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.Place in the oven and
bake until bubbly and hot, about 15 to 20 minutes.
