Twix cookies

Why this Recipe is Best

Today’s  twix cookie recipe is seriously amazing.

Often called millionaire bars, millionaire shortbread, or even billionaire bars, these treats taste remarkably similar to Twix candy bars!

Ingredients:

1 cup of softened unsalted butter

1 cup of white sugar

1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 large eggs

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

20-24 mini Twix bars, unwrapped and cut in half

Preparation: How To Make Twix Cookies

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix well until fully combined.

In another bowl, whisk the flour and salt together. Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, blending until a soft dough takes shape.

Scoop approximately 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your palm. Position a halved mini Twix bar in the center, then wrap the dough around it, forming a ball. Ensure the Twix bar is completely enclosed by the dough.

Arrange the filled dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced a few inches apart to accommodate spreading.

Bake the cookies in a preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the edges turn a light golden brown.

Take the cookies out of the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool entirely.
