This was a dish I made for a gathering, and it went fast!

Ingredients

2- cups of ordinary flour

1- single spoonful of powdered sugar

1- little spoonful of salt

1-half tsp of baking soda

12- a cup of unsalted butter, sliced, and refrigerated.

1- cup of buttermilk

A dozen little slivers of mozzarella cheese

1-quarter cup of melted butter

1- teaspoon of garlic powder

1- tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley

Preparation

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
  3. Stir in the cooled, finely chopped butter
  4. . Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Add the buttermilk and stir to incorporate the dough.
  6. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently push it several times.

Roll out the dough and press it into a 1/2-inch thick rectangle. Split it into twelve equal pieces.

Place a slice of mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough square, then encircle it with the dough, pushing the sides together.
